Transmit App Reviews

Really Well Polished

An FTP client for an iPhone may not immediately seem like something you need, but it really is. Really handy for managing a NAS without heading to a Mac, or grabbing that file you forgot to put in Dropbox. And indispensable if a server needs some attention and youre on the go.

Great Utility

Would be even better if they added support for B2 but otherwise its a very well polished tool and great at what it does.

Swiss Army Knife

I rarely write reviews, but Transmit is just so cool on the iPad. It is my go to app for getting data to and from places while I am on my iPad. I am just so glad its available.

The best FTP client for iOS.

The absolute best FTP client and its not even close.

Best FTP Client

So Ive tried multiple FTP client apps and this by far the most clean and intuitive app to date. Honestly, nothing can beat this. The app is so beautifully designed while also keeping the functionality we all know and love as developers.

Most useful iOS App (SFTP)

From nearly any app, you can easily send files over SFTP (or whatever you use) to your server. I manage my picture albums this way, keeping the, nicely organized on my server. Downloading is super easy too! No need for iTunes.

Excellent sftp app, but still missing one thing

Excellent sftp app, but still missing segmented download, include this and this will be one of the more powerful apps in the AppStore for developers and IT personnel.

No favorites sync with Transmit for Mac yet

The app looks promising but there is no favorites sync with Transmit for Mac yet, either using Dropbox or iCloud, or even Panic Sync on OS X. Panic should seriously consider adding Dropbox favorites sync as soon as possible, or Panic Sync on Transmit for Mac!

All is in Japanese

Since the update, the whole app is completely in japanese. Not usable at all.

Everything youll ever need

Awesome product, love it on Mac,love it on phone! Would you consider adding rsync/sftp folder sync?

Protocols missing/Poor syncing

No AFP or SMB support and we cant sync servers using iCloud or our personal WebDAV server.

Love the app hate the icon

Panic always sets the bar very high on their apps, this is really awesome. Very ugly icon tho. Seriously.

Can’t get any of the files in my iCloud Drive

When I click on the file that I would like to download, Document Picker closes and nothing happens.

Settings Sync requires new account

The app should really use iCloud to sync my access credentials. I neither want another account, nor do I want to trust all my credentials to a small startup...

Works fine

The app works fine and I had no crash or any major problem. Perhaps the interface can be improved. 1. The user and user rights of folders and files a not shown. Or I did not find the right button to show them 2. Changing the rights of a folder is not very intuitive to use and different from changing the rights for a file. (No, I have no better idea) -> Very good app with potential. -> pricing is good.

The best!

Ive been using Transmit on my Mac for years and couldnt say no to the mobile version. The guys from Panic are amazing! Every new update brings a ton of improvements/features. Definitely the best app in its category! Cant wait for the Promt 2 app to be released!

Best iOS FTP client.

Flawless design and great performance turn Transmit into the best FTP client currently available for iOS. It is a great tool to work on websites on the go. It also allows you to effortlessly browse your Macs file system if set up properly. I couldnt be happier.

No pdf Viewer, document viewing options poor

This could be a really great app, but it lacks basic functionality. The document viewing options are POOR. there’s no way to zoom in documents, you need to tab „open in transit“ first, which sucks as you need scroll down and open from there. also, transit can not open any pdf files, this is unacceptable - i mean, i paid $10!!! also, the ftp and webDAV connections are very slow and it took me quite some time figure out how to set up webDAV - this could be much fester and easier! there’s apps like readdle’s documents, which i don’t really like… but well they can open pdf’s in a smooth way and the ftp and webDAV connections are fast. oh, and their app is for FREE.

Good, but Sync to Mac OS missing

Very good and useful App. :-) Killer-Feature would be Sync between iOS and Mac OS. I manage over 50 FTP Servers and I don’t want to retype all Logins in iOS.

Every day essential

I use this App everyday on my iPad, occasionally on the phone and consider it essential. Theres nothing comparable when trying to juggle files between different severs. I use Jekyll for blogging, and Transmit is one of the apps making it a blast. Its not cheap, but youll know why you paid for it when you check it out.
